Data & Signal Cables

Application of Data Cables & Signal Cables:
Data & Signal cables are suitable as a control and signal cable in electronics as well as in tool and machine construction; computer systems; office equipment & instrumentation technology. These data cables are predominantly used for connecting Digital & Analog signals in Control System applications.
Variants of Data Cables & Signal Cables:
Data & Signal cables are available in unshielded or shielded cables. These are mostly flexible data cables & can be used for limited flexing applications.
The shielded data cables are typical with a foil shield, braid shield, or combination of the two.
Type of Insulation & Sheathing:
Data & Signal cables are generally having PVC or Polyethylene (PE) insulation & PVC sheathing. However, other insulating materials are also used based on the type of application & place of installation such as TPE; PUR; LSZH; Nylon; EPR rubber; Teflon, etc
Typical Construction:
Conductor: Stranded bare copper or tinned copper of Class 2 or Class 5
Insulation: PE or PVC (mostly) or TPE/ Halogen-free compound
Cores laid & twisted to form the bunch
For Shielded Version: Aluminum Foil with Drain wire or Tinned copper braiding for EMI/EMC protection in data cables.
Outer Sheath: PVC/ XLPE/ POLYURETHANE/ EPR/ HALOGEN FREE COMPOUND / SILICON / TEFLON etc
Typical Voltage Grades:
250 V or 300 V
Applicable Standards:
DIN-VDE/ UL /CSA / HAR / BS
Compliance:
RoHS/ REACH / CE
